🥋 Courage Is Taking the Next Step
Courage doesn't always look dramatic.
Sometimes courage is walking into your first martial arts class when you feel nervous.
Sometimes it's attempting a technique you find difficult.
Sometimes it's sparring with someone more experienced, putting yourself forward for grading, or simply getting back up after making a mistake.
At Chi Combat System, we want our students to understand something important:
Being courageous doesn't mean you aren't afraid. It means you don't allow fear to make the decision for you.
For children, that might mean putting their hand up and having a go.
For teens, it might mean pushing beyond self-doubt.
For adults, it might mean starting something new when part of you thinks you've left it too late.
Every time we face something uncomfortable and take one step forward, we teach ourselves:
"I can handle difficult things."
