Our Commitment
Chi Combat System (CCS) is committed to providing a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all children, young people, and vulnerable adults participating in our activities.
The welfare of our students is our highest priority. Every student has the right to train in an environment where they feel safe, respected, valued, and protected from harm.
Safeguarding Principles
CCS will:

Put the welfare of children and young people first.

Take all safeguarding concerns seriously.

Respond appropriately to any concerns, allegations, or disclosures.

Ensure instructors and volunteers understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

Maintain appropriate boundaries between instructors, volunteers, students, and parents.
Expected Behaviour
All instructors, assistants, students, parents, and spectators are expected to:

Treat others with respect and dignity.

Promote a positive and supportive training environment.

Report any safeguarding concerns immediately.

Follow CCS policies and procedures.
The following behaviours are not tolerated:

Bullying, intimidation, or harassment.

Physical, emotional, or verbal abuse.

Inappropriate language or behaviour.

Discrimination of any kind.

Unauthorised physical contact.

Inappropriate communication with children.
Photography & Video Recording
CCS may occasionally take photographs or videos for coaching, promotional, and marketing purposes.
Parental consent will be obtained where required.
Parents should not photograph or record other children without permission from CCS and the children's parents or guardians.
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern should be reported immediately to the CCS Safeguarding Officer.
All concerns will be treated seriously, confidentially, and investigated appropriately.
If a child is believed to be at immediate risk of harm, emergency services or relevant authorities may be contacted.
Collection of Children
Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children before and after classes.
Children should not be left unattended outside of scheduled class times unless otherwise agreed.
Online Safety
Students, instructors, and volunteers must use social media and electronic communications responsibly.
CCS instructors and volunteers will not engage in inappropriate private communication with children or young people.
Safeguarding Officer
CCS has appointed a Safeguarding Officer who is responsible for safeguarding matters and can be contacted regarding any concerns.
