This week in our Kids classes, we will be continuing with single hand collar grab self-defence.
We will also be working on:
• Patterns – improving technique and confidence
• Speed drills – building sharpness and reactions
This all supports their grading preparation, helping them perform with strong technique and focus.
Our aim is to help every student grow in:
This week in class our students will work on an important self-defence scenario: what to do if someone grabs their collar.
The goal isn’t to teach children to fight it’s to teach them to stay calm, protect themselves, and create space safely.
Training situations like this helps children develop confidence, awareness, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. These are life skills that go far beyond the dojo.
We were really proud to see the focus, discipline, and teamwork from all the students this week.

Our next Chi Combat System Grading is approaching, and we’re excited to see our students demonstrate the hard work they’ve been putting into their training 💪
Students who have collected all the required tags and meet the grading criteria are eligible to take part. Over the next few sessions, we’ll be sharpening techniques, patterns, and focus to ensure everyone feels confident and prepared.
Grading is not just about new belts it’s about effort, improvement, discipline, and growth.
